No, I don’t mean your reflection in that mirror.
I’m talking about that time each week where I take the opportunity to think about life: friends, family, food, career, goals.
Of course, the main thing I’ve been consumed with is Tourism Richmond’s 365 Days of Dining blogging competition.
I feel so fortunate to have been selected as a top 12 blogger; honestly, you all know food is my life’s passion. I talk about food all day long, so the opportunity to do this professionally for a year is something I’m still trying to wrap my head around. This truly is THE dream job, and I am crossing my fingers Tourism Richmond makes me the happiest food blogger the world has seen.
When it comes to food, I’m going back to my list I compiled in January of the twelve restaurants I aim to try in 2012. Next on my list will be Edible Canada for a few menu items:
1. Market Inspired Seafood Soup with east coast lobster, coconut broth, mussels, clams, and seasonal sustainable fish.
2. Grilled cheese on brioche with farmhouse brie, smokehouse cheddar, olive jam, and Okanagan apples.
3. French fries that are bound to be crispy and flavourful, as they’re fried in duck fat. Not so healthy, but hey, they’re fries!
If that doesn’t have you salivating, maybe you’ll just have to join me in actually trying these dishes (I might be able to save a bit on each plate for you to try…maybe.)
So, join me on Granville Island the next sunny weekday, and we’ll soak up some Vitamin D from Edible Canada’s patio!
As for reflections on my personal life, my family and friends are proving themselves to be even more amazing than I ever thought possible with their outpouring of love and support in my quest to be Richmond’s designated blogger!
A million thank you’s!
As always, wishing you a stamp of culinary royalty in all of your dining endeavours! xx
I look forward to eating vicariously through your blog on “Edible Canada” soon. Hopefully nice, warm weather will prevail in the days to come!
