There may have been 1500 applicants for Tourism Richmond’s 365 Days of Dining competition, but if I landed this position, I would feel more like one in a million. As cliche as that sounds, there’s really no better way to describe my immense passion for this opportunity.
I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have made it one step closer to realizing this dream; by including me in their top 12, Tourism Richmond has brought a smile to my face that won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Now, with voting beginning tomorrow on Tourism Richmond’s facebook page, the competition is set to really heat up: think Trinidad Moruga Scorpion (oh yeah, that’s the world’s hottest chili) heat, which I would be willing to chow down on for this year-long dream gig, by the way.
I have so much respect for each of the other eleven finalists, but of course, I believe I’m the girl for the job. My life’s passions are all adding up to a perfect fit for this position: writing, videography, photography, cooking and baking, world travel, embracing different cultures and cuisines, and sharing all of that with my friends, family, and followers.
I talk about food literally every waking hour, and eat as often as my stomach will allow. I do combine this with a healthy west coast active lifestyle, of course! I understand there are eleven other deserving candidates, but with your vote, I will dedicate this next year of my life to Richmond and all it has to offer.
Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Richmond, a vast multicultural playground, is right in my own backyard. I know how lucky I am to live in such close proximity to this culinary mecca, and I would love nothing more than to explore it further and share this gem with the rest of the world. Richmond, it’s your time to shine on the world stage.
