Keepin the Roadtrip Light

After a couple of days on the road, stopping in at some great (but definitely not good for you) diners, a healthy breakfast was in order. That is precisely when Ambrosia Cafe came into play. Tucked away in a pedestrian-only area of Sacramento, California, it is a great place for a quiet retreat from the city.

It was a gorgeous day when my sister and I stopped in, so the large patio was a great place to enjoy the sunshine and the cafe panini - a ciabatta roll is stuffed with scrambled eggs, tomato, turkey, and avocado. The sandwich is huge and can be easily shared between two, making them a fantastic deal.

I would hold off on the chai latte, though. A little pricey for the quantity and quality.

All in all, a great place to stop off for a fresh start to your day.
